DroneLogbook AG FAQ

Answers to common questions about DroneLogbook AG—our agriculture-focused drone logbook for spray, fertiliser, and mapping operations.

Data Storage Privacy and Security
Where / how is my data stored?
All of your DroneLogbook AG data—flight logs, chemical applications, field boundaries, documents, and user details—is stored on secure cloud servers with regular backups. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and our platform follows SOC 2–aligned security practices with modern access controls so only authorised users in your organisation can see operational information.
What do you do with my data?
We do not sell or distribute your personal data or agronomic records. That includes contact details (such as email), UAV telemetry, and spray or fertiliser application data. We may analyse information at an aggregate, anonymised level (for example, which drone models are most common) to improve device support and build better tools for agricultural operators, but we do not expose identifiable customer data.
Who owns the data in my account?
You do. Your farm, co-op, or service business retains ownership of its flight, field, and chemical application records. DroneLogbook AG provides the platform to store, organise, and report on that data so you can meet grower, regulatory, and audit requirements.
Product support & subscriptions
What happens to my data when my subscription expires?
If your subscription expires, you lose access to the features of that plan—but you do NOT lose your data. All flights, fields, and application records remain safely stored. When you subscribe again, your access to those records and features is restored.
How can I upgrade my DroneLogbook plan?
To upgrade your DroneLogbook plan, you need to first cancel your existing plan (if on a paid plan). Once you have cancelled, we will rebate to you the prorated balance of your cancelled plan. You can then upgrade to a new plan.
What happens to my data when my subscription expires?
When your subscription expires, you will lose access to the functionality of the plan you were on. You do NOT lose your data, just access to the plan features. Once you subscribe again, you get access back.
How often are new features added?
We regularly add features focused on agricultural workflows—field-level chemical tracking, reporting, integrations, and more. You can follow new capabilities and upgrades through our blog and release notes so you know when tools that impact your spray or mapping operations are updated.
Can I contact you with ideas to improve the service?
Yes, please. Ag pilots, co-ops, and service providers give us the real-world feedback we need to improve workflows and forms. If you have ideas around chemical logging, field records, or integrations, use the Contact Us page and send us a note.
What drones / software do you support?
We support log files and telemetry from over 50 suppliers including DJI, Parrot, Autel, Wingtra, Yuneec, Wingcopter, SenseFly, Flyability, Vantage Robotics, 3DR (Pixhawk), DroneDeploy, Pix4D, DroneLink, DroneHarmony, Autopilot (Auto Flight Logic), and many more.
Check out our integration hub for more info about log support.
Can I transfer data between DroneLogbook accounts?
Yes, you can transfer your flight data between any DroneLogbook powered site: DroneLogbook, SafetyDrone, Airmarket (Canada), and any of our Private-Label Servers. In addition, for larger accounts, we provide this as a paid service.
Agriculture features & chemical tracking
Can DroneLogbook AG track chemical and fertiliser applications?
Yes. DroneLogbook AG is designed for field-level application tracking. You can record, import, and report on:
  • • Fields / blocks / paddocks treated
  • • Products, tank mixes, and application rates
  • • Weather at time of application (wind, temperature, etc.)
  • • Aircraft, spray system, and pilot for each mission

Over time this builds a full application history per field, supporting agronomy decisions, grower reporting, and regulatory compliance.

Can I generate reports for growers and regulators?
DroneLogbook AG lets you create professional PDF and digital reports that show what was applied, where, and when—plus who flew the mission and under what conditions. These reports can be used for:
  • • Grower and agronomist documentation
  • • Internal and external audits
  • • Chemical-use and compliance record-keeping
Drones, software & integrations
What drones / software do you support?
DroneLogbook AG supports log files and telemetry from over 50 hardware and software suppliers, including many platforms commonly used in agriculture: DJI (including Agras series), Parrot, Autel, Wingtra, Yuneec, Wingcopter, senseFly, Flyability, Vantage Robotics, 3DR/Pixhawk, DroneDeploy, Pix4D, DroneLink, DroneHarmony, Autopilot (Auto Flight Logic), and more.
You can mix spray drones, mapping aircraft, and different flight-control apps and still keep all flight and application data in a single DroneLogbook AG account.
Can I transfer data between DroneLogbook accounts?
Yes. You can transfer your flight data between any DroneLogbook-powered site—DroneLogbook, SafetyDrone, Airmarket (Canada), and private-label servers. For larger accounts, we also offer managed transfers as a paid service
Mobile apps & field use
Do you have mobile apps for field operations?
Yes. DroneLogbook is built on a cloud platform with a secure web application and mobile apps for offline access and easy synchronisation with your cloud account. In the field, you can review missions, capture forms, and sync data when you’re back in coverage.
The mobile app also provides airspace status, local weather, and solar index information that may impact spray operations. Our additional Android app, DLBSync, simplifies importing flights from major mobile flight-control apps natively into your DroneLogbook account—even when operating with poor mobile coverage. DLBSync can collect flights while offline and upload them when Wi-Fi or mobile data is available.

DroneLogbook Mobile Apps

The DroneLogbook solution is based on a cloud infrastructure with secure data storage, online web application accompanied by our mobile application for offline access and easy synchronization with your cloud-based account. In addition, the mobile app provides you with access to the latest airspace status updates, local weather and solar index reading that might affect your operations.

Another Android mobile application, DLBSync, simplifies import of your flights from major mobile drone flight control apps natively to your DroneLogbook account. This app can sync flights into DLB Sync from your flight control apps when offline or in poor mobile coverage, then upload flights to DroneLogbook account when you have mobile or Wi-Fi coverage.
